The Senior Suite, the Court Room, and the Verandah Apartment each have their own character and their own minimum stay. All are within the same heritage building on Lebuh Acheh.

How the Rooms Are Offered
Minimum Stays
Each room carries a minimum stay that reflects how it is managed and what kind of guest it suits. The times are stated on each room listing and are fixed for most periods of the year.
All-Inclusive Rates
Each rate covers the stated meals, housekeeping frequency, utilities, wi-fi, and library access. No supplements are added during the stay for any of these services.
Direct Enquiry
Bookings are handled directly through the contact form or by telephone. There is no online booking engine. The resident manager confirms availability and discusses arrangements by return.
Upper Floor · Corner
Senior Suite
An upper-floor suite at the corner of the estate, with a private balcony overlooking the inner court of the property. Comprises a king bed, a writing desk, a separate sitting area with a daybed, a small kitchenette, and a private bathroom with a deep tub. Suitable for long-stay guests, often visitors to George Town for an extended cultural calendar or family occasion.

Inner Court · Mid-Floor
Court Room
A medium-sized room overlooking the inner court, with a queen bed, a writing desk, and a private bathroom. The room is cool in the afternoon thanks to the cross-ventilation through the court. Suited to a single guest or couple on a stay of three nights or longer. Rate includes daily breakfast, light housekeeping, and the use of the small library on the upper floor.

Rear Wing · Garden Level
Verandah Apartment
A self-contained apartment at the rear of the property opening onto a long covered verandah set against the back garden. Comprises a queen bed, a separate sitting room, a writing alcove, a small kitchen, and a private bathroom. Suited to long-stay guests on substantive trips — academics, professionals on assignment, or family members between homes. Rate includes weekly housekeeping, weekday breakfast, and minimum stay of one fortnight.

Senior Suite is best for
Cultural visits, family occasions, guests who want a full suite experience with balcony and sitting area. Minimum one week.
Court Room is best for
A solo traveller or couple on a shorter stay — three nights or more — who wants the estate's character without requiring self-catering.
Verandah Apt. is best for
Academics, professionals, or anyone needing a self-contained base for a fortnight or more. The kitchen and sitting room make it suited to working life.

Shared Standards
Guest Privacy
Room numbers are not shared between guests. Housekeeping is scheduled to avoid overlap. The estate does not discuss guest details with any third party.
Fire Safety
Current Bomba fire safety certificate. Smoke detectors, extinguishers, and marked emergency exits are inspected annually and maintained year-round.
Connectivity
Fibre broadband in every room. Separate network credentials per room. No shared bandwidth throttling. Suitable for video calls and regular work use.
Water Quality
Reverse-osmosis filtered water is installed in the kitchenette and apartment kitchen. All rooms have access to filtered water in shared areas.
Heritage Integrity
The building is maintained within guidelines set by the George Town World Heritage Incorporated. Modern infrastructure has been integrated without altering the historic fabric.
On-Site Presence
The resident manager is on the premises Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm. Outside these hours, a contact number is provided for genuine emergencies.
